Strategy

You must bring a mirror shield or V's shield to protect against the basilisk's gaze. For ordinary basilisks, attack them with Ranged in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon or Jormungand's Prison, and protect from melee. If assigned Basilisk Knights after Fremennik Exiles, fight them in Jormungand's Prison. Bring Ranged or Magic gear and protect from magic when they are at range, switching to protect from melee when they close in. Consider using a cannon if you have a task that allows it, but cannons are not usable against Basilisks. The main reason to kill Basilisk Knights is for the Basilisk jaw, which is much rarer on task, so prepare for a potentially long task.
