Fight the King Black Dragon using Ranged with an anti-dragon shield and extended antifire potions to mitigate its deadly dragonfire breath, which can poison, drain stats, or freeze you. Stay in melee distance and use Protect from Melee to negate its melee attacks, but be prepared to swap to Protect from Magic if using a two-handed weapon. Be aware the lair is accessed through the Wilderness, so do not bring items you are unwilling to lose.
